Dr. Mann is a founding Partner at Globalysis Ltd, a highly respected Las Vegas, Nevada
based boutique strategy consultancy that is exclusively focused on the casino gaming,
hotel, airline, and real estate industries within the global travel/leisure sector. He is one
of the leading authorities on tourism development as it involves a gaming component.
He has worked in both domestic and international markets, particularly in Asia. Dr.
Mann focuses on assisting corporations and governments in the strategic planning for
gaming and tourism development.

Dr. Mann was selected several times by former Nevada Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt to
travel with the Nevada trade and tourism missions to People’s Republic of China. He has
spoken to audiences in Japan, S. Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Australia,
Bulgaria and Singapore on tourism development. Through the International Gaming
Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) he has addressed audiences
from around the world on similar topics.
Stuart H. Mann has served as Dean of the world-renowned William F. Harrah College of
Hotel Administration at UNLV since 1998. He holds the Michael D. Rose Distinguished
Chair. He is the author of over 35 published research papers focusing on problem
solving and decision-making. His more recent publications deal with both multiobjective
and multi-criteria decision-making and simulation methods for training
hospitality employees.
Dr. Mann received his B.S. in mathematics from the University of Illinois and his M.S.
and Ph.D. in operations research from Case Western Reserve University. He currently
serves as a member of the board of directors of the Nevada Restaurant Association’s
Educational Foundation and the Las Vegas Academy of Travel and Tourism. He serves as
a member of the advisory board for Titan Nightlife, Inc., VideoMining Corporation, and
FS/TEC 2008. Dr. Mann is a founding fellow and trustee for the Educational Institute of
the American Hotel Foundation, the organization that awarded him the inaugural
Anthony G. Marshall Outstanding Education Leadership Award. The award recognizes
lasting, influential and innovative contributions to education and training in the
hospitality industry.
