Dr. Mann was selected several times by former Nevada Lt. Governor Lorraine Hunt to travel with the Nevada trade and tourism missions to People's Republic of China. He has spoken to audiences in Japan, S. Korea, Hong Kong, Macau, China, Taiwan, Australia, Bulgaria and Singapore on tourism development. Through the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) he has addressed audiences from around the world on similar topics.
Stuart H. Mann has served as Dean of the world-renowned William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at UNLV since 1998. He holds the Michael D. Rose Distinguished Chair. He is the author of over 35 published research papers focusing on problem solving and decision-making.
Dr. Mann received his B.S. in mathematics from the University of Illinois and his M.S. and Ph.D. in operations research from Case Western Reserve University. He is a founding fellow and trustee for the Educational Institute of the American Hotel Foundation, the organization that awarded him the inaugural Anthony G. Marshall Outstanding Education Leadership Award. The award recognizes lasting, influential and innovative contributions to education and training in the hospitality industry.
